2015: Bought two plants from Bayside Nursery in the spring. Planted them in the back bed along the fence in a fairly sunny spot (well, sunny for my yard). They flowered well until I noticed one plant was lagging behind. It developed cancker (or so I think). I called Bayside for advise and they offered to replace it. New rose planted in late summer. I installed a plastic mesh fence ( about 2′ tall & in diameter) on stakes in attempt to keep the bunnies away over winter.
Contemporary hybrid of Rosa, was bred in the United States by William J. Radler.
Full sun, can tolerate partial shade
Rounded, bushy shrub
Fragrant light pink flowers
Needs regular watering; prune back annually in late winter; remove spent flowers to encourage new blooms.
Good disease resistance; attracts butterflies; has thorns; crowns may need winter protection; orange-red hips.
